Use Requirement : Use of marks in Jordan is not compulsory for filing applications or necessary for maintaining mark registrations in force.
Cancellation : Cancellations can be filed by any interested party who can establish that the trademark was not actually used during the three years immediately preceding the application for cancellation, or that there was no bona fide of using the mark on the goods or services in respect of which the mark was registered.

Filing Requirements
Trademark/Service Mark Requirements
- A power of attorney duly legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
- The name, nationality, address and occupation of the applicant.
- A list of the goods and the corresponding classes to be covered.
- Fifteen prints of the trademark for each class of goods.
- A certified priority document (if claimed).
Renewal of Trademark/Service Mark Requirements
- A power of attorney duly legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
- The trademark number and class(es).
Assignment Recordal Requirements
- A power of attorney signed by the assignee, notarized and duly legalized up to the
Jordanian Consulate.
- An assignment deed signed by both assignor and assignee, notarized and legalized
up to the Jordanian Consulate.
- Name, address, nationality, and profession or nature of business of the assignee.
License Recordal Requirements
- A power of attorney duly legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
- License agreement document notarized and legalized up to Jordanian consulate.
- Trademark registration number and class.
Change of Name Requirements
- A power of attorney duly legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate in the new
name and /address
- A certified copy of the change of name certificate issued by the home registry
duly legalized up to Jordanian Consulate.
Change of Address Requirements
A power of attorney notarized and legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate in the new address.
Recording a Merger Requirements
- A power of attorney duly legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
- Merger document notarized and legalized up to Jordanian consulate.
