Filing Requirements
Trademark/Service Mark Requirements
- Power of Attorney Simply Signed.
- Full details of the Applicant
- The sign which is submitted for registration (its representation); and
- List of goods and services for which the trademark registration is requested.
Renewal of Trademark/Service Mark Requirements
The request for renewal of registration of a mark in respect of all or part of the goods and/or services and document certifying the payment of the fixed fee within 12 months before expiry.
Assignment Recordal Requirements
- Power of attorney signed by the Assignee.
- Assignment document signed by the Assignor and Assignee.
License Recordal Requirements
The owner of a trademark is entitled to transfer, pursuant to a licensing agreement, the right to use the trademark with respect to one, several or all of the goods or services for which the mark is registered.
Change of Name/Address Requirements
- Simply signed power of attorney under new name.
- Official document certifying change of name, such as extract, from
commercial register.
